from pre-historic times,different streamsof people migrated from different directions to manipur. Different racial groups from east and the west reached Manipur, many linguistic groups entered groups entered this country, They had a different religions faiths, they settle in both mountain and valley regions, out of ethinic amalgamation and culture assimilation in the valley, a unique Meitei was forced by first century A.D. Later a Manipur Identity emerged bigining within its fold the Meitei and other Indigenous ethnic groups of Manipur. this long historical experience and constant interaction between the Meitei and other ethnic groups brought out the emergence of manipur civilization
